What’s new.

New

• Update notice on Windows and Android: a card tells you when a new version is out, once a day or from About → Check for updates.
• Faster songs: YouTube stream links are remembered on disk, the top five results are prepared in the background and search reacts sooner.

Improved

• Clear messages when YouTube refuses a connection, and background work pauses for a while so the block does not get longer.

Android

• Signed with a proper release key. Uninstall the old app once, then install this version. Later updates install over it.

New

• The app is now Fox Music with a new fox logo.
• yt-dlp included in the Windows installer and updated once a day.
• Tray icon with play, next and previous.
• Equalizer on Android.
• Smarter queue: no duplicates, Play next keeps its order, drag to reorder.
• Made for you: twelve illustrated mood mixes.
• Phone remote: queue reordering, play next, like and sleep timer, plus add to home screen.

Fixed

• Android Now Playing layout, search filter chips background, phone remote logo, library carried over from Vanilla Music.

New

• Aurora glass look and custom JSON themes.
• Plugins, phone remote, MCP server and artist pages.
• Playlist folders, YouTube playlist import, backup & restore, “Wrong version?” picker, visualizer, ListenBrainz and Discord status, custom shortcuts.

Faster

• Search on desktop answers in about a second.
